The way in which course books present and practice tenses very often falls sadly short of teacher and student expectations.
Therefore it follows that an extensive armoury of supplementary ideas, materials and approaches to consolidate and help clarify the tenses, could definitely come in handy.
As learners come into contact with and notice different tenses as they move up the levels and the course book ladder, correct use of the tense system appears to be fairly lately acquired, and is a constant source of frustration to both learner and teacher.
